At a large comprehensive high school, students can too easily become invisible. This session shares how Othello High School is focusing on key goals through a coordinated team approach that addresses attendance, discipline, and academics as interconnected systems. By breaking down traditional barriers and creating structures to know where every student is, every day, staff are building a more responsive, relational, and student-centered school culture. As learner-practitioners, we offer this session not as a finished answer, but as an invitation to reflect, learn, and prompt new thinking across our region about how systemic approaches can move schools from reacting to student needs to proactively changing outcomes—and changing the future.
