Session Description: This session will provide educational leaders with an overview of our district’s Universal AAC Access Implementation Plan designed to ensure all students have equitable access to universal communication supports. Participants will learn how our framework was developed through collaboration, aligned with district strategic priorities, and embedded within broader inclusive practices. We will share our current stage of implementation, including successes and lessons learned, while outlining future goals for scaling and sustainability. Presenters will also examine key facilitators that have supported progress, as well as barriers encountered throughout the process. Attendees will leave with practical insights into building systemic AAC supports, strengthening communication access for all learners, and leading sustainable change through strategic planning and inclusive leadership.
